Performance Opportunities

We are excited to announce that we will be resuming our program of regular performances starting in Fall 2022!

We will be hosting large-scale Winter and Spring recitals at the BMO Theatre in Rocky Ridge. There will also be several opportunities to gain performance experience in local festivals and masterclasses.

Alberta Piano Teachers Association:
Calgary Festival

The Calgary APTA Festival is a non-competitive, volunteer-run piano festival that takes place each spring in Calgary.

The festival is open to students of all ages, interests, and levels, providing they study with a member of the Alberta Piano Teachers Association. The goal of the festival is to provide students with an opportunity to expand their musical and performance skills in a non-competitive setting.

All spectators are welcome! If you're considering entering the festival next year, we would recommend watching one or two classes this year.

Northwest Music Academy Presents:
A Winter Recital

We're pleased to announce our Winter Recital, happening February 11th, at the Rocky Ridge YMCA!

These recitals are the perfect opportunity for both us and our students to showcase all of our efforts through the year. They are also an opportunity for our students learn how to perform under pressure, how to speak in front of a crowd, and how to be a good audience member.

Thanks to all of our wonderfully committed students and parents, we have more recital participants than ever. In order to allow each student to have more stage time, we will be having two recitals at 5:00pm and 6:30pm.

If you have further questions about the recital, please email us at
