Frequently asked questions
Difficulty with regular practice is a very common problem, especially with children. Learning to play is an exciting and deeply rewarding experience - one that can enrich your life for years to come. Like any worthwhile pursuit, however, learning music takes dedication, patience, and practice. These are things that children don't naturally excel at on their own. This is why we recommend that parents implement a mandatory practice schedule and help young children in their practice time.
The amount of practice needed will vary depending on age and level, but it should be done at least 5 days a week. Your teacher will be able to provide more clear guidelines on the amount of practice needed for your own musical success.
In short, the expectation is that you practice regularly and effectively.
